Our donkey's

We have 6 donkey's; Honkey is our jack, we've had him about 6 years now.  He was free to a good home because they thought him to be mean, he doesn't have a mean bone in his body although he does like to chase dogs, goats and geese when the mood hits him!  He also likes to sneak into the main part of the barn and tear up feed bags and anything else he can get his teeth into.   We are breeding donkey's to sell to good homes, they make excellent guards for pastures and great LOUD pets.. lol

Buttercup is our first jennet we got, we have no idea how old she is but her face was sunburnt pretty badly when we got her, so much so that she is scarred but she is the friendliest and stubbornist jennet around.   Sweet Pea is Buttercup's & Honkey's baby girl, she's painted; so pretty and sweet.

NOTE: Buttercup is pregnant and due within a couple of months (April or May of 2008) - (donkey's determine when they will have their babies, not us!  They can go 11 months on up to 13 months.  This baby will be sold once he or she is weaned, so if interested please email and let us know.  It is sure to be painted but you never know!   You can get to know this little one once it hits the ground and be part of it's earliest raising before you take it home.

Petunia is Honkey's & Rosebud's (down the street) baby girl, she has grown up to be a beauty and pretty much untouchable BUT she has her little son Dazzle come to us for petting.

Donkey's we've lost:

Taco & Peanut we got together, Taco was about 40 years old when he passed in Nov '07.   Peanut was a very loving red & white donkey, we lost him last year to pneumonia.

Lucky we lost way to early to tetanus.
